Alimex GMBH is totally committed to the UK market and views the sale as a way of strengthening their position in the UK, whilst enabling them to focus on their core business of manufacturing the highest quality aluminium cast plates.

The business will trade as Metalex ACP Limited and will continue to operate from its existing premises at Fingle Drive, Milton Keynes and will be the sole distributor of Alimex products in the UK and Ireland.

All of the staff will be retained and it is our intention to grow the business by expanding sales of cast plates through the existing sales and distribution network of Metalex and increasing sales of the Metalex core product range of aluminium rolled plates and extruded bars through Metalex ACP Ltd.

The acquisition will further enhance the position of Metalex as the largest independent stockholder and distributor of extruded bars, rolled and cast plates in the UK.
